Dr. Olivia Beane serves as a Project Manager at Ceramedix, Inc. With extensive experience in preclinical development, she supports company operations and facilitates grant and contract activities to advance Ceramedix’s technology toward the clinic.
Dr. Beane brings over 8 years of biotech start-up experience, specializing in preclinical product development, grant management, and technical writing. She previously held roles of increasing responsibility at EpiBone, Inc, a regenerative medicine start-up developing novel tissue-engineered musculoskeletal products. As Director of Research at EpiBone, she led cross-functional teams in conducting manufacturing process development, assay qualification, and nonclinical safety studies, securing FDA IND clearance for the first stem cell-based osteochondral allograft product. She also managed research activities for a multi-year SBIR phase II award, co-authored grants that generated over $900K in funding, strategized product development programs to meet regulatory milestones, and authored key regulatory submissions. Earlier in her career at EpiBone, she served as a Research Scientist, leading studies in product optimization and GMP manufacturing development that helped secure FDA IND clearance for the first stem cell-based bone autograft product.
Dr. Beane has been an author on peer-reviewed publications and holds a PhD in biomedical engineering from Brown University and a BS in bioengineering from Syracuse University, graduating magna cum laude.
