James Tanenbaum is a co-founder, principal investor and member of the Boad of Directors of Ceramedix, Inc. For more than four decades, Mr. Tanenbaum led a distinguished career as a leader in the practice of capital markets and securities law.

He has represented issuers, including some of the nation’s largest financial institutions, underwriters, agents and other financial intermediaries, in public and private offerings of securities as well as issuers, investment banks and purchasers in hybrid, mortgage-related and derivative securities transactions. He has developed some of the most widely used hybrid techniques for the placement and distribution of securities.

Through his advisory firm, Tanenbaum Advisory, LLC, he advises public and private companies in matters involving corporate governance, valuation techniques, financial structuring, strategic business and financial transactions, valuations methodology and financial structuring.     

Mr. Tanenbaum is also a respected lecturer on capital markets topics, and he has authored several influential publications on securities law and financial regulation. A former Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Lehigh University, he also has served as National Chair of the Benjamin Franklin Society of the University of Pennsylvania. He has been recognized consistently in authoritative legal guides, including IFLR1000, Chambers USA, Chambers Global, and The Legal 500 US. Mr. Tanenbaum earned his BA from Lehigh University, and a postgraduate degree at The Fletcher School of Tufts University.  He earned his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he served as an editor of the University of the Pennsylvania Law Review.
