Elliot J. Sussman, M.D., MBA is a principal investor and a member of the Board of Directors of Ceramedix, Inc. Dr. Sussman is a pioneer in the creation and development of modern healthcare delivery systems.  Dr. Sussman provides critical guidance to the execution of the company’s business strategy.          

With a distinguished professional career throughout several decades, Dr. Sussman has been instrumental in transforming healthcare delivery. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Villages Health (TVH), where he has led the development of an innovative healthcare system in The Villages®, providing advanced healthcare to an adult population exceeding 150,000 members.   Prior to his role at TVH, Dr. Sussman was president and Chief Executive Officer of the Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN). During his tenure, LVHN emerged as a leading community based academic health care system. Earlier in his career, he served as associate dean of the Biological Sciences Division and the Pritzker School of Medicine at the University of Chicago, and associate professor of medicine and executive director of clinical practices at the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Sussman’s contributions to healthcare have been recognized by numerous attributions, including four honorary doctoral degrees.   Dr. Sussman has served on numerous boards and held leadership roles such as chair of the Association of American Medical Colleges. He earned his BA from Yale University, MD from Harvard University, and MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Sussman served as a fellow in general medicine and a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania.
